Girls participate in rappelling
Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) organised rappelling camp, to mark International Women’s Day (IWD), at Moghalrajpuram hill which was about 400 feet high on Sunday. Rappelling will be organised on first or second Sunday of March to mark IWD, said YHAI Vijayawada chairman Vishnuvardhan.
Vijayawada: Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) organised rappelling camp, to mark International Women’s Day (IWD), at Moghalrajpuram hill which was about 400 feet high on Sunday. Rappelling will be organised on first or second Sunday of March to mark IWD, said YHAI Vijayawada chairman Vishnuvardhan.
He said that YHAI was organising rappelling for women for a decade. About 60 girls and women aged between 5 and 50 participated in the competition. He said the participants had fun and enjoyed participating in rappelling which does not need any practice. One should have strong confidence levels to the participants.
He informed that every Sunday, the YHAI organising adventure sports such as trekking, Mountaineering, Rappelling, Rock failing, Water Rafting, Para failing at various places to the members.
