Government chief whip G Venkataramana Reddy on Monday said that the Congress leaders would abide by the decision taken by the Congress high command on the bifurcation of the State. Addressing the press here, he said that the CLP had already adopted a resolution delegating powers to AICC president Sonia Gandhi to take a decision on the contentious Telangana issue at her discretion. The party leaders, MLAs and other people's representatives should obey the high command and maintain restrain until it takes a decision on Telangana.
The party's state incharge Digvijay Singh also made it clear that the Congress initiated to resolve the issue by asking Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha and PCC president B Satyanarayana to prepare a road map on the issue, he said that he hoped that a decision in favour of Telangana would come out very soon. Referring to the resignation of three MLAs of YSRCP from Kadapa district, the chief whip demanded YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma to spell out her party's stand on Telangana.
