Hyderabad: The future of the country lies very much in the hands of its youth and discipline, self confidence and determination were the essential aspects to achieve one's goal in life, according to GHMC Commissioner T Krishna Babu.

Addressing the valedictory of the 12-day long 'Impact 2013' organised at Harihara Kalabhavan here on Sunday, Krishna Babu said the 'Impact 2013' is a training programme to impart skills into a number of educated and jobless youth to be successful in getting employment. Some 2,000 youths and students took part in the programme.

The programme was attended by the Editor-in-Chief of The Hans India and HMTV K Ramachandra Murthy and noted writer Yandamuri Verandernath. A book titled 'Gelupu' (triumph) authored by well known psychologist PS Rao was released on the occasion.

Dr BV Pattabhiram said that the training programme would help youth to improve any sort of skills required to face exams and life. Skills are very much important in the competitive world and it makes youth strong. K Ramachandra Murthy said that the country was very much in the safe hands of the youth and under proper guidance and training they could scale greater heights.

He pointed out that youth were in the forefront of the movements spearheaded by leaders such as Anna Hazare, Kejriwal and Jayaprakash Narayan. Kejriwal was one among those instrumental for achieving the RTI act in the country. One must think positively, work hard, communicate well and remain confident in chasing his dreams to achieve the ultimate success, he added.
