Uday Kumar bags best all-rounder trophy in police trainingA siHyderabad: Uday Kumar of Karimnagar range (civil) on Thursday won the Chief Minister's Revolver for being adjudged the best all-rounder in the passing out parade marking the completion of the one year long training at the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA), Rajendranagar. As many as 1,256 sub inspectors took part in the parade. Hailing from Khammam district, Uday Kumar also won the Home Minster's Trophy for topping in indoor subjects. His parents Pitchaiah and Satyavati beamed with happiness as he received the prize from Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. B T Venkata Subbaiah of Kurnool range who won the Home Minister's Trophy and Baton for best performance in indoor subjects belongs to YSR Kadapa district. Mannam Murali of Guntur range bagged the DG & IGP Trophy for best performance in outdoor subjects. He is a native of Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. Sagiraraju Krishna Varma of Visakhapatnam range was adjudged topper for excelling in criminology. Ippalavala Gopi secured a medal for excelling in forensic science. Both hail from Visakhapatnam district. The two awards were newly instituted by the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science (NICFS). B Pandu Rangaiah of Guntur range (Armed Reserve) won the DG & IGP Trophy for best performance in indoor subjects. He also received the APPA Director Trophy for finishing on top in firing. U Yerragudla Jayaramulu won the Home Minister's Trophy and Baton for best performance in indoor subjects and Narlapuram Rajaram of Karimnagar range bagged the Chief Minister's Revolver for Best All-Rounder Trophy.
