Hyderabad: Alleging that Minister D K Aruna's family was deep rooted in corruption, Telangana Nagara Samithi chief Nagam Janardhan Reddy has demanded her dismissal from the Cabinet. Talking to reporters at the Assembly media point on Sunday, Nagam stated that around nine thousand litres of blue kerosene, meant for the poor, was illegally routed to a plant owned by the Minister's husband. "In spite of the revenue officials seizing the vehicle, police did not register a case only due to the Minister's clout," he fumed. Nagam questioned the police as to why the plant belonging to Aruna's husband was not seized immediately. He appealed to the Chief Minister to sack DK Aruna from the Cabinet for misusing her office. He also criticised Press Council of Inida chairman Markendey Katju for his recent comments opposing statehood for Telangana.
