Taking a step further the administration by using the technology, District Collector Smita Sabharwal here on Tuesday addressed the medical and health staff of area hospitals and primary health centres in the district through Skype, the video calling facility through Internet.

The collector said that she would be watching the performance of the medical staff. She appealed to the medical and health staff to provide better health facilities to the people.
The tech-savvy collector chided the Toopran medical officer for coming late to the duty at the primary health centre (PHC). She said that there should be at least 20 deliveries at Toopran PHC. She instructed the District Medical and Health Officer to seek explanation from the Timmapur PHC medical officer for not attending the duty.
She complimented the medical officer at Sardana PHC for conducting a delivery after thirteen years in the PHC. She appealed to him to conduct more deliveries every month at the PHC.
The collector also complimented the medical officer who was attending a medical camp at a government school at the time of video conference.
She instructed the medical officers of Kulcharam and Bhanuru PHCs to take necessary precautions for the protection of child and mother in their areas.
Referring to the deliveries being undertaken in the Medak area hospital, the collector said that there should be at least 150 to 200 deliveries every month there. The sanitation contractor was instructed to keep the hospital premises clean.
The collector instructed District Coordinator of Government Hospitals Dr Veena Kumari to provide improved medical services in all the hospitals. She assured the staff to contact her immediately in case they face any problems.
National Rural Health Mission District Project Officer Jagannadha Reddy was also present.
