Hyderabad: A division bench of the AP High Court comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar stayed an order of the Lokayukta, directing the Transport Commissioner and Road Transport Authority (RTA) not to entertain any further registrations and also not to extend time for registration of passenger auto-rickshaws in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.

The bench made the order in a writ petition filed by D Satyanarayana, an auto driver from Hyderabad, contending that the Lokayukta had passed the order on a complaint by K Srinivasachari, president of Nagole Auto Drivers Welfare Association, against the RTA officials and an auto-dealer.
