Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will amply make it clear to GoM to create Telangana State without tinkering with the status of Hyderabad, TRS secretary-general K Keshav Rao said here on Sunday. He said he and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao would attend the all-party meeting convened by the GoM in New Delhi.
Addressing media persons at Telangana Bhavan, the TRS secretary-general urged the Centre to concede ‘Sampoorna Telangana’ demand of the people. He called upon the Congress leaders from the region to exert pressure on the Union government in this regard. Congressmen should be ready to join the movement if any decision was taken against the wishes of the public, he said.
Echoing similar sentiments, TJAC chief Prof Kodandaram said that the people of Telangana were aspiring for a complete Telangana sans conditions. Telangana State should be created in accordance with the decisions taken by the CWC and the Union Cabinet, he said and urged the Telangana Congress leaders to strive for expediting the bifurcation process.
