Nizamabad: Adulterated water makes school kids ill

Adulterated water made at least 12 students of a government school in Nizamabad ill on Monday. Students reported discomfort after consuming water from the school tank. Police said teachers and kids regularly use this water for consumption.

The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after they reported stomach ache. The incident has been reported from Barengedgi village of Birkur mandal. The mandal Tahsildar alleged that this is the act of miscreants to poison the water and directed the police to take necessary action against the culprits.

Prelimnary reports also found pesticides in water although further probe is on.
