Missing since November 13

Hyderabad: Alwal police drew a blank in tracing the 22-year-old B Ed student, who has been missing from a rented room at Old Bowenpally in Alwal since November 13. Hailing from a Tribal community, Priyanka of Karepalli in Khammam was pursuing the course at National Institute of Hearing Handicapped in Aliver Jung.

She was sharing the room with three other friends. Following the completion of examinations, her friends left for the native places, but she stayed back in the room. Her brother Balaji said that she called him up for receiving her after her friends’ left for their homes. But, he did not find her at the room. Her mobile remained switched off.

She was found missing from November 13. He lodged a complaint with Alwal police, who registered a missing case and took up the investigation.

“We have been making all sorts of efforts. But we have not found either positive or negative result.

We had been to Khammam after her brother received a miss call from unknown number. The caller was found to be a mentally-retarded person from Nalgonda,” Alwal Inspector S V Harikrishna said.

“The room is not located in any crime prone area. It is becoming hard to trace her as she is not carrying a mobile phone,” said the inspector, adding, efforts were on to find the student at the

earliest.
