Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh: Telangana Journey Should End Amicably. The bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh by Union cabinet has yielded two states viz. Telangana and Seemandhra. Ultimately, it is divided on regional lines. The aspirations of Telangana people were fulfilled by UPA government. Four years of continuous protests and agitations came to an end with a historic decision.

The GoM yesterday came out with certain resolutions like the GHMC area will be the common capital for a maximum period of 10 years. The controversial issue is what would constitute the jurisdictional area in respect to law and order of “common capital”, Hyderabad.
GoM is said to be pondering GHMC area for “administrative purpose” and Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerate limits under “law and order”. GoM also stated that the Governor of Telangana will be assisted by two advisors, but the Telangana protagonists will not purely support for the reason that one cannot have two different authorities for the common capital.

The cleared Bill contains certain provisions like the Government of India will take special and enough measures for the economic development of both the successor states, including expansion of physical and social infrastructure and establishment of national institutions in the successor state of Andhra Pradesh and the fab statement is that GoI will assist in the setting up of a Tribal University in both States which are Tribal rights since some parts of both states comes under Fifth Schedule Areas (Article 244).
The Union cabinet also created a national tag for the Polavaram project which was the bone of contention since many years. The centre also ensured that management of sharing of waters of Krishna and Godavari lies with both the states.
The Government also retained the existing rules for admissions into higher education and technical institutions. However, this should be accepted by the Telugu people of both states as this seems to be a good package for the people of both states.
People of all the regions in the residuary State have to work in harmony to achieve common goals and to develop further. Let the people of both states part ways in loving and friendly manner.
