Karimnagar: National BJP secretary P Muralidhar Rao on Monday while expressing happiness over the party’s victory in the four Assembly polls claimed that the Congress would be defeated at the Centre and in other States, including Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the media here, he predicted that the BJP would form the government at the Centre after the general elections; it would strive to ensure defeat of the Congress party in other States.
Rao said the party would try to form the Government in Delhi, with Harsh Vardhan as the Chief Minister, either with the support of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) or with the cooperation of those who would quit AAP.
Adilabad: Activists of the BJP took out a motorcycle rally here to celebrate the party’s victory. The rally commenced at Marwadi Dharmasala and passed through the main roads of the town.
They burst crackers and distributed sweets to party colleagues and passers-by. District secretary Venkateswara Goud and others took part in the celebrations.
