Devyani fallout: Chaos at American Consulate Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The left parties and the student unions jointly carried out a protest near the American consulate at Begumpet in Hyderabad on Thursday.

They tried to attack the American Consulate. Their attempts were restrained by the police, who acted immediately and made adequate arrangements, including the stipulation of barricades. The police surrounded the entire area and not even permitted the media people.

No one including the employees of neighboring offices was allowed to enter the premises. The students and the other agitators were arrested and carried away. It is evident that the left parties and their student parties have jointly decided to attack the American consulate, concerning the issue of Devyani.
