Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Thursday and expressed his displeasure over the manner in which he was being treated by the party high command.

He has reportedly been issued a show-cause notice by the party leadership for criticising AICC president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

JC has been berating the party high command ever since the CWC decided in favour of bifurcation. He has questioned any action against him, contending that the party also act against PCC president as the latter along with Chief Minister have signed a resolution opposing the CWC decision to crave out Telangana State. It is learnt that he told the Chief Minister that he had been a staunch Congressman and had been loyal to the party leadership for the past four decades. He alleged that deliberate efforts were on to send him out of the party.

Speaking to media persons later, JC informed that he didn’t receive any show-cause notice. “I want to continue in the Congress Party, but it is the PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, who is bent upon sending me out of the party. It is improper to issue a show-cause notice to a leader like me. It seems the Congress Party leadership has lost its mental balance now," he said. Asked about his future plans and whether he was contemplating to join the YSR Congress Party, he stated that he would take a decision after January 23.

Though Reddy claimed that he was planning to retire from politics, it is learnt that he was all set to join the YSRCP after January 23.
