Srihari Rules out TRS Merger with Congress, TRS Congress merger issue. The TRS leader flayed the two leaders for not protesting the Seemandhra MLAs act in the Assembly during the debate on the State Reorganisation Bill.
Warangal: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Kadiyam Srihari on Thursday ruled out TRS merger with the Congress Party. He clarified that there is no truth on the merger issue and criticised the vicious campaign being circulated in this regard.
Speaking to presspersons at the TRS party office at Hanamkonda , he lambasted Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Motkupalli Narsimhulu on various counts. Saying that the TDP has no moral right for criticising the TRS which was in the forefront of the Telangana agitation, he asked where had the two leaders gone when the TDP Seemandhra leaders went to the President to give representation against Telangana.
Srihari questioned the silence being maintained by the two leaders with their leader N Chandrababu Naidu leading the agitation for Seemandhra and trying to stop the creation of Telangana. He asked them whether they can request their leader to give a statement favouring Telangana.
The TRS leader flayed the two leaders for not protesting the Seemandhra MLAs act in the Assembly during the debate on the State Reorganisation Bill.
Instead of giving representation to the President for removing conditions (riders) on Telangana in the Bill, the TDP leaders are trying to defame their party, he said. Maintaining that the TDP would be wiped out from the Telangana region in the next elections, he said the people in the region would give fitting reply to the party for betraying the cause of Telangana.
Srihari said even though a resolution is not passed in the Assembly, once the Bill is sent to the President, the Assembly is bound to pass the bill. He expressed the hope that the ensuing Parliament session would pass the Bill and Telangana state would be formed by February 15.
He expressed his condolences for the untimely death of Telangana Praja Front leader A Bhumaiah. TRS District President T Ravinder Rao and Party Politburo members participated in the meet.
