Anantapur: Alerted with the Palem Volvo bus accident and other similar accidents, the RTA officials have been carrying out snap checks in nooks and corners of the state. On Monday a special drive was carried out by the RTA officials; and seized as many as 8 private buses for not maintaining the norms.
The RTA officials carried out a snap check of private vehicles on the National Highway No. 44 at the outskirts of Anantapur. The passengers who were travelling by the seized vehicles have been conveyed by RTC vehicles. The RTA agents urged the passengers to opt to travel by RTC vehicles to avoid any sort of inconvenience caused to them. The officials said they are facing the problems to make arrangements for the passengers travelling by the seized vehicles.
