Kadapa: Former Kadapa Mayor and uncle of YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Ravindranath Reddy, here on Tuesday asserting that there was no truth in the allegations made by Neeraja Rao regarding the Jubilee Hills site said that they were ‘levelled to suppress him politically’. Addressing the media at YSRCP office, Reddy claimed that allegations of his involvement in the site ownership issue were being made in an attempt to malign Jagan and himself. Recalling that ‘propaganda’ of corruption charges against Jagan involving Rs 1 lakh crore, Reddy said that false claims like Jagan had arranged land for someone should not be made, when he had no involvement. He ridiculed the corrupt TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for making allegations of corruption against him after meeting Neeraja at the site.
He accused Naidu of ‘occupying’ thousands of acres in Hyderabad, while raking up a small issue of the site. While accepting to present evidence in his favour against the allegations made by Neeraja Rao, Reddy challenged the former chief minister whether he was prepared to show evidence of his properties. Reddy threatened to lodge complaints against several newspapers and TV channels to the Press Council for publishing ‘fabricated’ reports on the Jubilee Hills site issue.
