Hyderabad: To counter the increasing cases of land encroachments by submitting false documents in the districts, the State government has come up with a proposal to issue ‘e- Pattadar Passbooks (PPBs)’ soon.
Replying to a question posed by TDP MLA R Chandrasekhara Reddy in the Assembly, Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy said that it was proposed to replace PPBs with tamper-proof books in three districts – Anantapur, Warangal and Prakasam - on a pilot basis.
“Once the legality of modernisation is established, the issuing of e- PPBs will begin. This will ensure more transparency and integration of land records of Revenue and Registration Departments and total updation of records by automatic mutations,” he stated. The land record data of Revenue and Registration Departments had already been integrated to update land records.
