Chittoor: Minister for Mines and Geology Galla Aruna Kumari said that she will vote against bifurcation of the State if the voting takes place in the Assembly on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill. Speaking to the media after performing bhumi puja for a new unit of Amara Raja Batteries at Nunegundlapalli in Yadamari mandal of Chittoor district on Sunday, the Minister reiterated her staunch support to Samaikyandhra. She declared that she will raise her voice in favour of Samaikyandhra in and outside the Assembly in order to stop the division of the State.

Replying to a query on whether she would sail with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy if he floats a new party, she said that she was not aware of Kiran Kumar Reddy’s plans to launch a party and added that she will remain in the party. On the speculation that she is mulling over joining the TDP, she said “no comments.” About her son Jayadev Galla’s move to enter politics by joining TDP she said that everyone has the liberty to opt to work for any party, indirectly conceding at her son looking towards other parties than the Congress. Jayadev, who was present on the occasion, admitted that he is interested to join politics and added that he would soon disclose his future plans.
