Hyderabad: It’s now official. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has decided to quit his post the day the T Bill is introduced in Parliament. Kiran is learnt to have taken this decision after holding a meeting with several Seemandhra ministers like Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Pithani Satyanarayana and Kasu Venkatakrishna Reddy on Tuesday evening.

Soon after quitting from the post, Kiran is contemplating to hold a brainstorming session with his supporters to decide his future course of action.

It is learnt that Kiran told the ministers close to him that there was no point in continuing in office as the high command was in no mood to listen to any of their arguments or demands and has now started taking action against Seemandhra leaders.

Minister Pithani Satyanarayana said that Kiran had told him that it was time for him to resign and that he would do so the day the Bill was introduced in Parliament. He said though Digvijay Singh had stated that the party would not take any action against Kiran, the Chief Minister was upset over the expulsion of six MPs for supporting the cause of united Andhra Pradesh.

Another Minister S Sailajanath said the six MPs had only echoed the aspirations of the people of their region.

Why didn't the party leadership take similar action on Telangana MPs, when they had obstructed the proceedings of Parliament in the past," Ganta questioned.
