“About 7,000 party workers and leaders would sit on a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to protest against the proposed tabling of Telangana Bill in the parliament. The party cadre and leaders will leave for Delhi on February 15 by two special trains,” party senior leader Umareddy Venkateswarlu said.
We will highlight the single-minded approach of the Congress in dividing the State though 75 % of the population is against it. Any Bill with financial implications will have to be introduced in the Lok Sabha and not in Rajya Sabha.
The proposal to table the Bill in the Parliament will be opposed by our Party and we will carry out the protest and a public meeting in the national capital.
