Naidu meets Modi, Mulayam, Sharad, Sharad Yadav, Telangana Bill with voice vote, Naidu. He felt that heavens would not fall if the process of dividing the State was delayed by some more time.
Insists division should be win-win for both States
Hyderabad: Amidst reports that the BJP has decided to pass the T Bill with voice vote during this session and that the Congress party had opened back channel discussions with Samajwadi party to enlist its support in passing the Bill, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday met the SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav at Delhi airport and discussed the issue with him.
It is learnt that Naidu told Mulayam that his party was not opposed to bifurcation but in the process the Constitutional procedures should not be violated and things should not be done in a hurry.
He felt that heavens would not fall if the process of dividing the State was delayed by some more time. It should be done in a proper manner after convincing stake holders from both sides. TDP wants equal justice so that people in both the states can feel happy and all would be in a win-win situation, he is thus understood to have told the Samajwadi leader. Recalling the chaotic scenes in Parliament on Thursday, Naidu is understood to have remarked that it was orchestrated on the instructions of AICC president Sonia Gandhi. Naidu also recalled the comment of President Pranab Mukherjee on the eve of Republic Day, wherein he said Telangana issue was a sensitive issue. Unfortunately, the Centre was handling a sensitive issue in a shoddy manner.
Naidu also met JD-U president Sharad Yadav in Delhi, and BJP president Rajnath Singh and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Punjab and discussed the T developments with them.
