Several Congress leaders are believed to have told the Congress High command that party's fortunes in Seemandhra region will be better if the party went to polls by appointing CM instead of President's rule.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh has invited the Seemandhra leaders to Delhi tomorrow for talks on CM post.

Speaking to media after meeting Digvijaya Singh, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana also appealed to all the Congress MPs to come to Delhi tomorrow.

Over a dozen Seemandhra and Telangana Congress leaders are said to be lobbying hard with the party High Command to occupy the CM's chair. The leaders are strongly opposed to President's rule in AP.

According to reports, Damodara Raja Narasimha, Jai Pal Reddy, Jana Reddy , D Srinivas, Sarve Satyanarayana, Sridhar Babu and Marri Sasidhar Reddy from the Telangana region are in race for the Chief Minister's post.

Meanwhile, Botsa Satyanarayana, Anam Ramnarayan Redy, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Raghuveera Reddy and Chiranjeevi are lobbying for the CM post from the Seemandhra region.
