Several leaders cutting across party lines are pitching for a new capital for the residual state of Andhra Pradesh following the passage of the historic Telangana Bill.
A leader from Telangana region has suggested that they choose a capital between Guntur and Vijayawada. TRS ex-MP B Vinod has advised that it will be better for both Rayalaseema and Andhra people if the Capital is located in between Guntur and Vijayawada. His advise is his personal opinion and not that of his party.
"It will be a better idea to build a capital anywhere between these two districts which are close to both the regions instead of far and backward places. Then Vijayawada and Guntur can be developed like Hyderabad and Secunderabad," he said.
