Hyderabad: The union Minister Jai Ram Ramesh on Thursday sidelined the comments made against the Congress party that they have divided the state in view of the looming general elections and said that the Congress Party has taken ample time to decide whether or not to divide the state. He said after so many deliberations and discussions that last for almost ten years only, they have divided the state.

He reiterated that Hyderabad will remain as the joint capital of two states for 10 years. Further, he said the security, law and order, internal security, protection of assets and related issues will be under the jurisdiction of the state governor. He said the entire income of Hyderabad will be given to Telangana. Just to compensate the same, said Jai Ram, a six point formula in the form of package has been formulated and declared by the Prime Minister himself, for Seemandhra. He said Congress Party has been abiding to safeguard the interests of Seemandhra as well.
