Guntur: Andhra Bank branch located near Hindu College in Guntur has been robbed on Tuesday. During the midday time, three unidentified miscreants entered the bank. Tow of them spoke to the clerk Malleshwari in an unfamiliar lingo. While she was talking to the duo, another guy went near to the cash counter and put the bundles of Rs.1000 in his bag. Later, all three collectively left the bank.
After sometime, the clerk screamed after realizing that the cash from her counter was missing. The security guards reacted at once and closed all the doors to carry out spur-of-the-moment check of all the customers then present in the bank. However, the cash could not be traced out. An amount of Rs 2 lakh 35 thousand has been theft from the bank, according to the DSP Gangadhara Rao. The police have been striving to identify the thieves based on the CCTV footage, after registering a compliant.
