Vijayawada: Jairam Ramesh, the Union Minister for Rural Development on Tuesday has critically commented that Seemandhra leaders will claim 2 Minars of Charminar, if a chance was given to them. He said the Seemandhra union ministers have continuously demanded for Hyderabad to be made UT as if they were chanting Ashtottaram and Saharsranamam. He said Congress Party has done so much to Rayapati, Lagadapati and Rayapati. Jairam addressed the gathering of Congress Party activists at Andhraratna Bhavan in Vijayawada on Tuesday night.

Countering the demand of JD Seelam who insisted for the development of Ramayanapatnam port along with Duggarajapatnam port, Jairam made the above comments. Further, Jairam said a special committee is being formed to implement the special promises made for Seemandhra.
Further, Jairam said there was no need to include the special package matter in the form of an act or an ordinance. He said they will take the entire responsibility of accomplishment of the promises, if Congress Party will be given a chance in the impending general elections as well. He said it was a very easy task to develop the Seemandhra region with the combined efforts of the entire people of the region. Finally, he said that he got elected from Seemandhra, so, he would strive hard for that region.
