New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday has denied giving stay order on Andhra Pradesh state bifurcation. It is worth mentioning here that as many as 12 petitions have been filed in the Apex Court mentioning that Andhra Pradesh state bifurcation was an act of unfairness. These petitions include the petition of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The petitions have been taken for consideration by a three member committee headed by Justice Dattu has listened to the arguments of the petitioners on Friday. While denying giving a stay order, the bench has ordered the Centre to give explanation on the very matter.
The centre has been ordered to give a written explanation. Further, the bench has mentioned that the auxiliary course of action will take place in accordance with the explanation to be given by the Centre. The apex court said that they will decide on the matter whether or not to transfer the case to the constitutional bench during the next hearing.
