Purandeshwari’s spouse, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao quits politics
Just a few hours before Purandeswari, the former Union Minister’s official way into the BJP, her husband Daggubati Venkateswara Rao has announced his political exit on Friday.
Previously, it was speculated that Daggubati will also follow the same lane and join BJP to strengthen the party in Seemandhra region. However, his sudden announcement has shocked everyone in the political circles. Daggubati has announced that Purandeshwari will alone continue in politics bowing to the personal and political reasons, which are very specific to their family.
Daggubati said it was between Purandeshwari and him to choose that one from the duo to remain in politics while the other quits. He said ultimately it was him who dropped from the politics.
It is worth mentioning here that Daggubati has been elected from Paruchuru, a constituency in Prakasam district on Congress Party ticket in 2009 elections.
