Anurag Sharma gets DGP rank

Anurag Sharma, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner got promoted to the rank of DGP. To this effect orders have been issued to him on Tuesday. Nevertheless, his posting has not been altered to continue him as the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad.

Anurag Sharma, a 1982 batch IPS officer held various coveted positions. He held the reins of Police Commissioner of Hyderabad on April 14, 2012. He was in charge Police Commissioner for a month, before he assumed the charges of Police Commissioner of Hyderabad. He played a crucial and neutral role during the Telangana and Seemandhra agitations.
