Reddy urged people to call him ATM (Any Time Meekosam), describing himself as ‘Telangana Venkanna’. Earlier, he and brother Rajagopal Reddy took out massive rallies to the outdoor stadium.
Venkat Reddy and Rajagopal Reddy, the Congress candidate for the Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency, performed special pooja in the Venkateswara Temple at V T Colony, before going in rallies to file their nomination papers.
Addressing the meeting, Rajagopal Reddy praised his brother, saying he never aspired for power, having given up the minister’s post for the sake of people. He described the 2014 election as the Kaurava-Pandava war, in which the Congress would emerge victorious. Both pledged to develop Nalgonda as the ideal district.
Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy, former MLA Ch Lingaiah, former MLC Pula Ravinder, and candidates, Pothamshetty Venkateshwarlu (Bhongir) and Palla Venkat Reddy (Munogode), were present.
