Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, in association with FACE Academy is conducting a three day summer certification programme on “Spoken English” on 05, 06 & 08 May 2014 at VIIT.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, in association with FACE Academy is conducting a three day summer certification programme on “Spoken English” on 05, 06 & 08 May 2014 at VIIT. The programme organized by the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Department of Training and Placement is formally inaugurated on 05 May 2014. The Programme was designed to make the students overcome stage fear and mould them to be eligible for placements from I B Tech level.

On this occasion, Mr.P. Ramesh, I/c Principal, motivated the students towards speaking skills. Mr.K. Madhusudhana Rao, HOD-BS&H & I B Tech Incharge, stressed the importance of refining the spoken skills of the students at I B Tech stage. Dr.I.S.V. Manjula, Professor, Dept of BS&H, explained the importance of the speaking skills to professional students. She stressed that spoken English is a skill to be developed and not studied. Therefore practice is the only route to acquiring this skill. Dr.K. Venkata Rao, HOD-CSE appreciated the students for becoming a part of the program. After the inauguration, all the students are sent to the respective rooms for attending the classes. Mrs.K.G.B.Santhosh Kumari, Asst. Professor Compeered the inaugural session.
Around 250 students took active lead and participated in this programme. Mr.S.Satish, Mr.K.Ramappadu, Mr.D.Ganesh, Mr.K.Sivaprasad, Mr.T.Satyaguru, Dr.R.Hanumantha Rao, Mr.S.Ravi Kumar,Mr.Ch.Raj Kumar,Mrs.N.Ramya, Ms.R.Alekhya, Assistant Professors of BS&H, Mr.Sai Krishna, BDM, FACE Academy, Mr.B.H.V. Ramana Rao, AO, Mr.S. Ramesh Kumar, Manager, Heads of various Departments, teaching and non-teaching staff participated in this inaugural and made the program a grand success.
