Sivarama Krishnan committee to tour in Guntur today

Hyderabad: The Siva Ramakrishnan committee appointed for the study of feasibilities of establishment of new capital city for residual Andhra Pradesh will be touring in Guntur district today to see into the details in the district. The committee will visit Tadepalli, Mangalagiri, Amaravathi, Nagrajuna University etc. Later, the committee will be meeting with the officials. The committee will be procuring all details related to natural resources, lands etc in the district.

It is worth recollecting that the Committee has early visited on Visakhapatnam on Saturday and Krishna and West Godavari districts on Sunday. There was news that the Sivarama Krishnan committee appointed for the assortment of capital city for the residual Andhra Pradesh has been touring in a clandestine way. The DTRO of Visakhapatnam has been reportedly instructed to not give any information to the media. The leaders of various parties, NGOs and other interested people like industrialists have been making arrangements to put forward their version before the committee members. The local people of Visakhapatnam consider that no other place than Visakhapatnam is suitable to be the capital city of the residual Andhra Pradesh. They have been preparing to make their voice heard by the committee members in this milieu.
