Prakasam: EVM Connectors Unearthed at Place of Abode. The officials have brought to light the storing of vital EVM connectors at a residential unit in Ongole. According to sources, a Tahasildar has stored 30 EVM connectors at his relatives’ home.
Hyderabad: The officials have brought to light the storing of vital EVM connectors at a residential unit in Ongole. According to sources, a Tahasildar has stored 30 EVM connectors at his relatives’ home. The police have taken over the same and rushed them to the RDO office. Sharif, the Tahasildar at Mandamuru, has stored 30 EVM connectors at his relatives’ residence.
According to sources, Sharif was handed over the mentioned EVM connectors late in the night, and more over, there was no means to travel to the place where the EVM connectors were supposed to be reached. In view of this, as there was no other option left for him, the said Tahasildar has stored the EVM connectors at his relatives’ home, added sources.
There are many allegations that the EVMs are tampering worthy. Such untoward incidents in this milieu would add more doubts to the folks concerned. Officials have been criticised for such lacunas. How EC would respond to this incident is yet to be noted.
