They told the Governor that Telangana has a unique culture that is known as “Ganga Jamuna Tehjeeb” where people of all religions live in harmony. They said Hyderabad was like a mini India that truly reflects Unity in Diversity. They asked the Governor to ensure that the image of Brand Hyderabad should not be allowed to get affected at any cost.

In a memorandum submitted to the Governor, they said that the incidents that had taken place on Wednesday was an act of anti-social elements who had concocted a malicious plan to bring the two religious groups at loggerheads and thereby attempt to create animosity among religious groups leading to communal violence and thereby disturb the peace in Hyderabad. The memorandum said that they were deeply concerned at this juncture when Telangana state formation is a reality very soon, this sort of incidents are really dangerous to the social harmony of the state and affects the overall growth of the new state.
