Hyderabad: Two ministers from Andhra Pradesh will be included in Narendra Modi’s cabinet which will be sworn in on Monday. They are P Ashok Gajapati Raju from the TDP and Bandaru Dattatreya of the BJP who from the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency. The TDP which was anticipating three berths in the union cabinet to be sworn in on Monday had to remain content with just one cabinet rank post for the time being as the Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi has decided to have a compact cabinet. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been in Delhi since Saturday, had a series of meetings with Modi at Gujarat Bhavan.

On Sunday morning Naidu had a final round of meeting with Modi for about 45 minutes wherein Modi is said to have made it clear it would not be possible for him to accommodate more than one from TDP in the first phase in his cabinet.

Hyderabad: AP to Get Two Berths According to TDP leader CM Ramesh, Modi had indicated to them that another two or three could be taken at the time of expansion. Party sources said that Naidu had recommended the name of Vizianagaram MP Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju who would be the cabinet rank minister. Raju is one of the senior most Parliamentarians in TDP. He was elected as an MLA for six times. He belongs to the Pusapati royal family from North coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu during his meeting with Modi is learnt to have told him that he would not press for more posts for the present since he was more interested in getting all out help from centre in the process of reconstruction of the residual state. Later Naidu confabulated with other senior colleagues like Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, K Ramamohana Rao and E Dayakar Rao and others at AP Bhavan and informed them about the talks he had with Modi. From Telangana, BJP's veteran Bandaru Dattatreya who was elected from Secunderabad constituency and represents Backward Classes (BCs), is understood to have been sounded about his inclusion in the Union Cabinet. The BJP veteran has already reached Delhi along with the members of his family to take oath as the Union minister.
