The leaders and activists of Telugu Desam Party have been on their way for Mahandu celebrations on the second day, as the same turns also to be the 91st birth anniversary of the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the founder president of TDP Nanadamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

Hyderabad: The leaders and activists of Telugu Desam Party have been on their way for Mahandu celebrations on the second day, as the same turns also to be the 91st birth anniversary of the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the founder president of TDP Nanadamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

The entire Gandipet area has been jammed with heavy traffic. The police have failed in their attempts to restrict the traffic. So, the vehicles coming for the Mahanadu are made to park 2 km away from the location of Mahanadu venue. The vehicles which are on its way to Hyderabad from Chevella have been stopped on the Highway, while diverting the vehicles on their way to Mahanadu on to the Chevella highway.

In view of the 91st birth anniversary of late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the NTR Ghat has also become stuffed. The TDP leaders made a beeline for NTR Ghat to offer their tributes to the departed leader. Nandamuri Harikrishna and Jr. NTR also visited the spot early on Wednesday and offered homage. It is worth recollecting that NTR was born on the same day in the year 1923 at Nimmakuru in Krishna District.
