The party’s Telangana committee headed by newly elected MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy held a meeting here on Sunday and discussed the party’s future course of action in the new State. The YSRCP leaders G Ramachander Rao, Janak Prasad and others attended the meeting.
Ponguleti said that as part of the formation day celebrations, the party would hoist national flag at the party head office in Hyderabad and take out rallies in all districts involving the local party leaders and activists.
“From now onwards, the YSRCP will play an important role in the development of the Telangana State by raising issues ranging from the welfare of poor to the implementation of the electoral promises made by the TRS. We will also play a watchdog role,” he stated.
Under the leadership of the party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the party Telangana unit would be strengthened from village level in coming days, Ponguleti added. He said the three party newly elected MLAs for Telangana Assembly would also play a constructive role and fight for the rights of weaker sections.
