Andhra Pradesh to Have Indian Revenue Service Campus. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, said that he would allot 150 acres of land to the academy as the Central government has assured the Andhra Pradesh government that it would set up an IRS recruits training academy

Hyderabad: Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, said that he would allot 150 acres of land to the academy as the Central government has assured the Andhra Pradesh government that it would set up an IRS recruits training academy, either in Anantapur or Chittoor, on par with the IAS and IPS training academy at Mussoorie. It will be the first permanent centre for the Indian Revenue Service recruits in the country.

According to Sujana Chowdary, the Telugu Desam parliamentary leader, Arun Jaitley, the Union finance minister, has already assured to set up the academy which will be formally announced in the 2014-15 annual budget.

He said that there was presently no permanent training campus for the IRS recruits. Now Andhra Pradesh will get the campus for all the probationers, with the Chief Minister coming forward to allot land either in Anantapur or Chittoor districts, so that both trainers and probationers will be connected to Bengaluru or Chennai, added Sujana Chowdary.
