Hyderabad: Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday stated that he was always ready to sit with his Telangana counterpart KCR to findout solutions for the problems that have been bothering either state, at the same time he faulted the Telangana government for making an issue of the release of Krishna waters for drinking water needs and the manner in which demolitions were being carried out in Hyderabad.
He released a white paper on the power sector in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. He reminded of his words prior to bifurcation that he had warned that Telangana region would face power shortage as also problems on irrigation front. Asked about the complaint of Telangana government that Andhra Pradesh was overdrawing power and its action was affecting the southern grid, he said Andhra Pradesh government was honouring PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements).
Naidu criticised the demolitions being carried out in Hyderabad and said that there was no modus operandi in that. He also took exception to the fence erected in the Secretariat to separate the blocks housing the offices of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments. He instead demanded a give and take policy to prevail in between the states.
Naidu made it a mention that politics and people were two different issues and all problems could be resolved amicably as there were rules governing for each and everything.
