Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao said that as per the election manifesto DSC examination would be held every year.

When asked whether Andhra Pradesh government will scrap the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), Rao said, they are planning to cancel it. “We are taking experts and legal opinions on the cancellation of the test,” Ganta informed.

He stated that in the cabinet meeting, DSC notification was discussed and it would be issued in September. “We have identified over 10,000 posts,” he revealed.
According to the sources in School Education Department, Telangana, DSC notification is likely to be released in November. The Telangana government is also planning to scrap TET and introduce a part of TET subjects in DSC. “There may be changes in the examination pattern also,” said an official of School Education Department.
Education experts felt that scrapping of TET may lead to legal battle between aspirants and government.
