Parakala advisor to Naidu govt

Hyderabad: The AP government has appointed Dr Parakala Prabhakar as its Communications Advisor with the rank of a cabinet minister. His wife Nirmala Sitharaman is Union Minister for Commerce and Industries. He did Master’s degree and MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and PhD from London School of Economics (LSE).

For several years he presented a current affairs discussion programme on reputed television channels and enriched the public discourse in the state. He carried out several research studies and policy analyses for international organisations such as UNICEF, ILO, WTO, UNDP and for state and Central governments.
