Vijayawada: 'In light of bifurcation, the Center should cooperate to build Andhra Pradesh until it takes an appropriate shape. The severe injustice to AP caused due to bifurcation is irreplaceable’, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said here on Saturday night.

He told the media at the irrigation office that the State government was negotiating with the Centre on the proposals which would make AP renovate itself, like Hyderabad.

Naidu stated that the government would run a mobile administration here to be available to the public. ‘After studying practicality and possibilities, we would plunge into action to develop the State’.

He pointed out that AP has a deficit of Rs 15,900 crore after the division. The Center has to look after the expenses for the first year. Thereafter, it would be covered by the under the 14th Finance Commission.

Naidu stressed that there was quintessential need to develop Vijayawada City. There were persistent problems regarding employment and education in the district. The city could be turned into a knowledge hub and a silicon corridor set up for its abundant human resources.

He said Machilipatnam Port would be designed as the best port in the country. It was suitable for an Oil refinery. There were several proposals which would be announced soon. The CM stated to develop Vijayawada and AP it would take many years. ’We are not clear how to compensate the loss with minimum resources. I would try to bring in more foreign investments to the State’.
