Vizianagaram: Only those names suggested by party workers would henceforth be included in the various committees and there won’t be any lists either from New Delhi or Hyderabad, said APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy here on Saturday.
Addressing a broad-based meeting of the Congress activists, he stated that the party was moving ahead with twin objectives—appointment of three observers for effecting changes in the party executives and behave responsibly on important problems facing the people. While strongly attacking the Chief Ministers of the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, Reddy observed that the party would exert pressure on the two State governments for ensuring people’s welfare.
“Are you both indulging in dramas? Why are you causing hardship to students?” He asked N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao regarding holding of counseling basing on Eamcet. “After conducting Eamcet counseling both the CMs could have a bout of wrestling if they want near Charminar. We will come and watch,” the APCC president quipped. Referring to the rescheduled agricultural loans, he claimed that banks had already declared that they won’t be able to give credit to farmers. Reddy hit out at Naidu for boasting that he was the ablest CM in the country. Yet he was unable to honour all the election promises even two months after taking oath, he remarked.
The APCC chief named MLC Rudraraju and ex-MLAs Satyavathi and Sugriv as observers for the Vizianagaram constituency. Among those present were former APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, MP K V P Ramachandra Rao, former MPs Killi Kruparani, Botcha Jhansi, ex-ministers Balaraju, Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Kondru Murali, and ex-MLA and Botcha Appalanarasaiah.
