KCR imposed undeclared emergency

Tirupati: Chittoor district president of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC) Sameer Basha on Sunday accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of clamping undeclared emergency in the State. In a statement issued here, he strongly criticised KCR following the arrest of several leaders, including Varavar Rao and Kalyan Rao of the Virasam , who were on their way to attend a meeting in Hyderabad organised by an alternative political forum.

The arrests, Basha contended, amounted to snatching of the right to free expression. He accused the Telangana State Government of ‘supporting imperialist forces’.
