Visakhapatnam: “Let us see lights glow brighter in all families well before the Diwali festival since relief and rescue operations are in full swing to rebuild Vizag. I appeal to all the people not to go for crackers during Diwali celebrations but to light more and more lamps to show our commitment to rebuilding Vizag as an international city,” remarked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in an informal chat with newsmen here at the Collectorate on Friday.
He appealed to all sections of people of north coastal Andhra districts not to burst crackers on the Diwali day but to celebrate the festival in a grand manner by glowing lights at all houses.
Health Minister Kamineni Srinivasa Rao too urged the people of north coastal Andhra not to celebrate Diwali festival and instead donate the money to the CM Relief Fund to rebuild Vizag.
