Vijayawada's Kondapalli fort to get face-lift
It seems that Andhra Pradesh government is making the plans for the development of the new state capital in all rthe fields. The government is trying to make good tourist destination out of Vijayawada by re-developing several historical structures around the area.

On the orders of the Chief Minister, the officials have already started giving a face-lift to the historic Kondapalli fort, 20 km from Vijayawada city.
The 14th century fort, built by king Prolaya Vema Reddy is being renovated by the archaeology department by administering chemical treatment to the historical structure, rebuilding some walls that are collapsed and other walls and arches are being repaired and given a fresh coat of paint to prevent rainwater seepage.
