Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly sparked controversy after reports emerged that he had misbehaved with the cabin crew of the Air India flight in which he travelled from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

However, Kodela maintained that it was the staff who was rude to him.
It so happened that one of the cabin crew members requested Kodela's friend who was sitting with him in the business class to go back to his seat. Kodela is believed to have lost his temper over this. He is believed to have thrown his food tray at the cabin crew and threatened them with dire consequences for their ill-behaviour.
The air hostess has lodged a complaint of the Speaker's outburst.
