Farmers breathe sigh of relief

Anantapur: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s announcement of loan waiver relieved the tension of many of the farmers who have been waiting for the news since five months.
It should be pointed out here that Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party supremo Chandrababu Naidu promised to waive off loans of crop, gold and handloom weavers before elections. The TD government has gone through hectic exercise and finally announced the loan waiver on Thursday. TDP leaders and cadre held celebrations hailing the CM’s announcement here. They distributed sweets to the farmers led by Minister Paritala Sunitha in Ramagiri while Mayor M Swaroopa, Deputy Mayor S Gampanna and party activists held a rally in Anantapur city and fired crackers at Saptagiri Circle.
Party leaders and activists distributed sweets and held celebrations at Kadiri, Hindupur, Guntakal, Tadipatri, Singanamala, Uravakonda, Kalyanadurg, Dharmavaram, Puttaparthi, Penukonda, Rayadurg and other constituencies in the district.
