Giving his idea of making and shaping smart Andhra Pradesh, he said there were nearly 16,250 panchayats in the State and asked prominent persons to adopt a village each and support the process of development. He also asked MLAs and MPs from the State to work for making smart villages and smart wards. He directed officials to give wide spread coverage for the ‘Mission Smart AP’ to create awareness among people, he added.

He asked officials to ensure that every eligible farmer got the benefits under the crop wavier scheme which was announced by the government recently. Further, the government would conduct ‘Farmers Empowerment Meetings’ from December 11 to 16, and he would launch the crop loan wavier scheme from Chittoor district. He said that the list of beneficiaries had already been put online, and the objections would be received, if there were any omissions from the eligible famers.

Stressing that each household in the State should have two bank accounts, he added that henceforth all financial benefits from the government would be disbursed through banks only. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials from various districts in the State to ensure that every house in the State had a modern toilet facility, and assured to release more funds, if needed.
